SEVALE STALLARD ROAD RACE 14 APRIL 2013

On a mainly dry, quite warm morning, riders still had to contend with a fresh southerly wind and a tough course on hilly Worcestershire lanes. In the AB race, an early break of 7 riders built up a lead of about 3 minutes by the finish. In the CD race, an early break of John French and Chris Davis was caught after a lap and a half, and 3 riders finally got away from a reduced bunch, all finishing within half a wheel on the line. The EFG race stayed together more than the others, with Alan Kemp just beating Mike Allen in the bunch sprint.

Very tough day--strong winds--many hills and wet roads

A/B race--Winner Mike Twelves --Ex International who returned to the sport last season after 23 yrs out, carried on where he left off last year--He won final Stallard last Sept, and clearly the strongest rider on Sunday -to take victory.

C/D Races Paul Stubbs beat 3 times winner of the series Jon Stevenson , by a whisker , with Powerful John French --a former RTTC Nat 50 Champion , and multi LVRC Champion, finishing 3rd, --again these 3 were the strongest throughout.

The E/F/G/ race stayed together throughout the race,--the Big Guns hiding in the slowly depleting pack, Winner Alan Kemp shower his class , when puncturing and getting back on his own,

All 3 races were 52 miles long
